Vintage Trailer Technical Tips

Restoring a vintage trailer can be a big job. You'll often need all the bodywork, painting, suspension/brakes, electrical, woodworking, upholstery, flooring and decorating skills you can muster to finish the job! For a lot of the restoration tasks, it will be a learn-as-you-go deal so take your time and don't be in a hurry. Join a vintage trailer club, go to vintage trailer rallies, ask a lot of questions, do a lot of research and take good notes. You'll learn a lot along the way (and you'll have to do some things several times). But you'll meet some great people and have some fun, and you'll end up with an awesome trailer you can camp in with family and friends. To help with your vintage trailer restoration project, here's a list of how-to tips, suggestions, processes and procedures we've collected. Check back often, because we're always adding new technical tips!
